Defore Named DSI Finalist

We’re excited to share that Elijah Defore, Northeast Magnet, 2025, has been selected as one of the top 12 finalists in Wichita State University’s annual Distinguished Scholarship Invitational (DSI)!

Of 551 students who competed, Elijah advanced to the final round, where three students will be awarded the Harry Gore Memorial Scholarship. To qualify, students had to demonstrate exceptional academic achievement, leadership, and dedication to their communities.

The 12 finalists participated in final interviews on January 23^rd, and the Gore Scholars will be announced on January 31^st.
