INFORMATION FOR COUNSELORS

Now Accepting Nominations for the 2026-2027 Lifelong Learning Scholarships!
The Timothy P. O’Shaughnessy Foundation is pleased to announce that nominations are now open for the 2025-2026 class of Lifelong Learning Scholarship recipients!
These scholarships, which range from $25,000 to $100,000, may be used at any college or higher education institution and are available for both undergraduate and continuing education programs, for up to ten years.
Nomination Guidelines
Each school may nominate a maximum of two students.
All applicants must be nominated by a counselor using the link provided below.
Counselor Nomination Deadline: November 8
Required nomination materials:
- Student Name
- Date of Birth
- High School Transcript
- Student’s personal email address (Please ensure the email address can receive messages from outside sources, as it will be our sole method of communication)
Scholarship Eligibility Requirements
- Minimum ACT score of 26, SAT score of 1240, or GPA of 3.6
- U.S. citizen and resident of Kansas
- Currently enrolled as a high school senior at a school in the Wichita area (see our listing of eligible schools here)
Ideal Candidate Profile
We are looking for well-rounded individuals who show excellence both in academics and in extracurricular leadership. Desirable qualities include meaningful participation or leadership in:
- Sports teams
- Performing or visual arts
- Student organizations or other team-oriented activities

Counselor Instructions
Present a lapel pin (provided in a gift box) to each nominee. This gives you the opportunity to:
- Personally recognize the student
- Collect their personal email address
- Encourage them to begin their application materials

Student Instruction
Each nominee will receive a lapel pin box containing a QR code and private link to access the application portal. The student will be responsible for:
- Completing the application online
- Uploading the following:
- Parental Consent Form
- Resume
- Photo
- Personal Statement (Choose one) - Written: max 3 pages double spaced or Video: max 3 minutes
- Coordinating two letters of recommendation (Students will receive a unique link to share with their references for direct upload.)
STUDENT APPLICATION DEADLINE: NOON, November 30th.
