Jacob has lived in Wichita for 15 years, moving from Richmond, Virginia at the age of three. He is the son of David and Adrienne and the second of five children.
Graduating as Valedictorian from the Classical School of Wichita last year, Jacob has just finished his first semester of his freshman year at Benedictine College in Atchison, Kansas.
Jacob serves as a freshman senator in student government at Benedictine advocating as part of the “Raven Unity” board. He fills his free time at Benedictine with intramural activities, having captained two teams and played in eight different sports seasons this past semester.
While still undeclared, Jacob has been following a premedical track alongside courses in leadership and the humanities.
Though not completely sure about what he wants for a future career, Jacob has been loving his time at Benedictine and is excited to continue to explore educational interests, which make him “come alive”. His philosophy in this resides in Romans 8:28, which reads, “We know that all things work for good for those who love God, who are called according to his purpose.”
Jacob is very grateful for the immense opportunity this life-long learning scholarship affords him and hopes to fully embody the multi-faceted love of learning the foundation stands for.
