Tran Graduates from Duke

We are excited to announce that Jordan Tran, Maize South, 2020, has graduated from Duke University with a Bachelor of Science in Biology with a concentration in Anatomy, Physiology, and Biomechanics and a minor in Sociology.

Following graduation, Jordan will be working as a research analyst for the Duke Regeneration Center, where he will be working to improve cancer patients’ survivorship and investigating novel medical countermeasures against acute radiation syndrome in the scenarios of nuclear terrorism.

Jordan is taking time this summer to apply to medical schools.

Tran Announces Summer Plans

Jordan Tran, Maize South High School, 2020, has announced his summer plans!

After graduating from Duke University, Jordan will stay in Durham, NC, to work as a research analyst for the Duke Regeneration Center. He will work to improve cancer patients’ survivorship by minimizing acute and long-term side effects of radiation therapy. He will also be investigating novel medical countermeasures against acute radiation syndrome in the scenarios of nuclear terrorism.

“I look forward to being able to fully dedicate my time to pushing forward the field of regenerative medicine and potentially improving treatment options for individuals affected by radiation and cancer,” Jordan shared.
