Rogers Selected for NSLI-Y Program

Rogers

Caleb Rogers (Derby, 2025) has been awarded an NSLI-Y (National Security Language Initiative for Youth) scholarship to study Korean in South Korea this summer!

Out of thousands of high school applicants across the U.S., Caleb is one of just 440 students selected by the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs for this immersive language and cultural experience.

While abroad, he’ll live with a host family, engage with local peers, and represent American culture as a citizen ambassador, all while building critical language skills that contribute to U.S. national security and global understanding.

“I am very excited to deepen my understanding of the Korean language and culture through participation in the NSLI-Y program. I am looking forward to this opportunity to create meaningful memories during an immersive experience in South Korea!”
